Joy with the Baseball Cap

Today I saw a man from behind, who was sitting on the steps outside of a 7-Eleven. I thought he was a panhandler, but I was wrong. What caught my attention was the back of his baseball cap.
I passed by him, went into the store, came back out, and walked across the parking lot to my truck. While walking to the truck I had the impression that he would be a good candidate to give one of my Restoration cards to. Normally accustomed to giving a panhandler a dollar bill with the card, I prepared the same and walked back over to the man.
I told him that I loved the back of his cap and asked if I could take a photo of it. He said sure! I then gave him the Restoration card, calling it a spiritual message that he might enjoy, and included the dollar bill with it. He thanked me for the card, but said he didn’t need the dollar bill and he gave the money back to me. That was a first!
Our Christian friends are very amenable to Christian messages. When I saw the back of his cap. I knew I found a soulmate that I wasn’t expecting. 🙏
