JOY AT THE STORAGE UNIT

A bike sold at our storage unit then a missionary opportunity!

Another bike sold!

This morning a man came by my storage unit to purchase a bicycle I had for sale. All went well and he bought the bike.

I then asked him a favor: could he take me over by our church to pick up a car I had to leave there the day before? He said he would be happy to.

On the way there I learned he was from Cameroon originally. So I asked if that was anywhere near Sierra Leone. It wasn’t; it was by Nigeria. I mentioned Sierra Leone since I baptized a couple of people on my original mission from there. [That mission experience gives you a lot of connections you can use throughout your life later.]

A Stop by the Temple After the Storage Unit

The route to the church took us by the Washington D.C. Temple. He said it was fascinating! He said he had seen it from the roadway many times but had never seen it up close. I suggested we drive through the parking lot of the temple prior to him dropping me off at the church just up the street. He was amazed.

As we drove down the hill and he was able to see the temple from the front he was just stunned that it was so big and magnificent. I had the impression to give him an Articles of Faith card so I did. Then he mentioned he wanted to bring his wife to see the building. I told him to give me a call and I’d give him a tour. He liked that.

The key is to have something with you that you can give away to someone. I use the Articles of Faith cards. If you do, God will direct people towards you because you can help them move closer to the truth.

It was a great experience!  I recommend these principles to everyone!

From storage unit to DC Temple.

Beautiful Festival of Lights in December.
